Jersey Pride volunteers help create joyful, affirming, community‑powered spaces where people can celebrate, connect, and feel seen. Whether you have a few hours, a full weekend, or simply a strong desire to help the LGBTQ+ community while wearing sunscreen and occasionally directing people toward the nearest bathroom, there is a place for you here.
Pride is different for everyone. For some it is celebration. For others it is visibility, healing, protest, joy, chosen family, or that moment when someone realizes they are finally not alone.
Volunteering means you help create that moment for someone else.
And honestly… that is pretty powerful and ripples out to people who need it.
Also yes, you may leave slightly sun‑kissed, tired, emotionally fulfilled, and somehow covered in glitter. This is normal. ✨

About Jersey Pride
Jersey Pride has been part of New Jersey LGBTQ+ history since the state’s first Pride celebration in Asbury Park in 1992.
What started as a gathering of roughly 1,500 people has grown into one of New Jersey’s most recognized and beloved Pride traditions.
For more than three decades, Jersey Pride has helped create space for celebration, advocacy, visibility, and community connection across the state.
Today we host events throughout the year because community is not seasonal… even if June does tend to bring the best outfits. 🌈
